Travel Tips for Flight Transit

Home again..finally (thank God) :)

So its holiday..yay~! :D ..flying home to DC..this is my second visit.

My second visit to DC; fly by MAS..then transited at Tokyo, Narita. It was a about 6hours journey to Narita. pheww...CRAMP (=.=) ..Narita is quite a nice place for you to go wandering about ;).. Those Nips i met were all very friendly..lagi la kalau kita try cakap-cakap bahasa dia.. ^,^

..Da name pun transit je kan...memang bersungguh-sungguh aku snap pic yang bole menampakkan aku kat jepun..bole la nak poyo-poyo kan ;DD..cari pokok sakura takde pulak..ahak! tu yang entah ape-ape pic je aku snap..and so far..takde gamba yang aku bole bangga nak upload kat fB and say out loud.. "i'm in Japan baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!" .. (-_-)

Basic tips for those who transit at Tokyo, Narita:

* First and foremost; in case of transiting and changes of flight, be sure to confirm your baggage is directly sent to your final destination.

1. Sesampai je kat Airport Narita, the first thing you need to do is, change your time to local time..this is essential so that you wont get confused..then cepat-cepat kan la diri pergi check-in untuk flight seterus nye. Da ade boarding pass for your next flight baru la sedap sikit nak jejalan kan.. ;) The sooner the better. Kang kalau lambat-lambat..long queue nanti baru tau..haa. But in case if your next flight counter is not yet open then you need to adjust your timing..Set la alarm. Be early. Ape-ape hal pun..kena RAJEN BERTANYE :)

2. If you are bound for Washington DC...prepare your US dollars before take-off (from klia to narita) ..Almaklum la..currency jepun ni besa....(nombor wang dorang ni besa-besa) ..so i think it is more forgiving if you use dollar currency.. *1 USD$= 78 Yen.. (the latest i checked) ..kat mane-mane international airport for sure punye la bole pakai USD$..Kalau setakat transit, tak payah tukar currency negara tu pun takpe.

3. Shopping: Aku takut sikit nak shopping kat jepun hari tu..dengar-dengar barang-barang dorang mahal..da la kat airport. memang super duper di-marked up la harga barangan semua..tapi tak jugak la. Kena pandai pilih kedai..ha. Sila lah singgah di kedai-kedai yang bertulis "Tax Free" ..yang laen tak payah :p

 

Here you may find food, souvenirs, books and also beauty products at quite affordable price ;)

3. Tido: If tak malu..tido je la kat public tu..(me! me! :D)..cari port yang macam best..then Zz..but if you are worried of your precious hand lugage..or segan ke... :*> ..bole la pegi ke toilet. Toilet kat sane ade disediakan "changing room" ..masuk jeh ;D (ehem.changing room dia bersih and ade carpet tau.hehe)..kalau tak pun..if korang still segan gak dengan cara tu or perlukan lebih privasi..head to "Day Room" ..its about USD15 for the first one hour..and USD12 for the next subsequent hours (hamik kau mahal). This room provides you shower room, bed and also alarm clock! :D

4. Da habis shopping..da puas merayau..bla~bla~...sekarang tengok jam. Da check-in da?..if belum pegi la segera. If sudah, double check your boarding pass. Pay attention to your flight details; boarding time, seat number, flight number, gate...etc~kena confirm kan..if let say your seat number is not included (happened :p) , go and settle it ASAP at the mentioned gate counter. Jangan pulak bila da announce calling-for-boarding baru nak terperasan...cuz by that time will be too late already. Mind you, you are not the only one with that problem...there would be many of them with the same problem. So to avoid the frustrating long queue, re-check your boarding pass.. :)

5. Da settle semua...Alhamdulillah..Check dokumen-dokumen penting (passport, boarding pass,,etc) ..Bace doa dan wee~...have a safe flight ;)

..I prefer not to have me to change airlines when transiting. *hassle hassle~ ..there are no direct flight to DC if you fly by MAS (bound for Los Angeles )..the other day, i took MAS, transits at Tokyo then changed to United Airlines to proceed to DC..i personally think my first visit to DC is way more fun :D ..i went by Qatar Airways. Didn't have to change airlines :) ..just a two-hour transit at Doha..then proceed to DC. If you ask me, I would definitely prefer Qatar Airways ;)...movie-movie dalam Qatar Airways lagi beshhhhhh! ;D ewahhh. Besides that, Qatar Airways offers cheaper fare..aihh.cam biased je aku ni :p..hehe..okaii. I'm working on my what-to-do-on-your-holiday list (giler panjang)..Take care!
